We've spent 35 years helping families create outdoor spaces, and one thing we've learned is that the best part isn't the fence or the deck. It's what happens around them.

Backyards are where dads teach the perfect spiral, share stories, master the grill, admire fresh-cut grass, and create memories that last a lifetime.

"Zero regrets! I do actively recommend them to people! (500 ft of vinyl privacy fence)

Getting right to point for folks reading this: We got 5 quotes (all were about the same). Fence and Deck Connection was by far the most attentive to detail and utterly professional right off the bat, from quote to finish and did great work. Along with that, that they were a long and well established company with good reviews is what made us choose them. They were also the ONLY ones to have a SERVICE department.

So they don't have the financial pressures of smaller/newer companies (which could lead to behavior and decisions not focused on providing the best product) and would be around for a while to fix anything we might break. F&DC also have their own crews (pay attention to this! Many companies will pickup freelance guys for jobs and consequently aren't as vested in the work like someone who works for the company full-time).

They (Tom was our sales consultant) were the only ones to diligently put down flags for the first-time quote. Most roughly measured with the measuring wheel. But Tom went further after the wheel and with a tape measure sketched our the fence TO THE INCH. He essentially made a detailed enough plan to work off of right there-most companies will only do this after you agree to hire them (which also makes pragmatic sense, but hey-we liked seeing that interest right from the get go. It lessens the uncertainty in your mind and gamble we all make when choosing someone).

Now, the most important part- the INSTALL! We need a better word than workers...they were well-oiled, productive, and pleasant team! As Tom says, after putting in about 400 fences-they know their trade. So you don't need to worry at all about corners being cut or bad decisions being made. If you're worried about them damaging your yard or anything....don't. They cared way more about that than we do! Mike, Alberto, the guys- all very nice and happy to field questions. This is where having their own well-established crews shows the most-they are with a company they like. The company is vested in them and vice versa. You do not have hard-off, questionable guys at your house!

Anyway- we will definitely be using them again when we get to our deck and would choose them everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. You won't regret it - I promise you!"

This Lutherville, MD backyard got a fresh start without losing its charm.

The original split-rail fence had seen better days, so our team replaced worn sections and installed a new gate to bring it back to life. Same classic look, improved function, and a much cleaner finish.
