Thank you, Jacqueline Booth, for your tremendously generous tool donation in honor of your son, Michael A. Booth Jr.

Thanks to your donation, we can now offer more and higher quality tools. A jobsite table saw, a mini-jackhammer, a drywall lift, a cast iron pipe cutter—these were just a few of the hundreds of tools you personally donated.

Through the Tool Library, we hope to encourage residents to build community and take charge of DIY repair and improvement. Together, we can continue to be "More than a library--an agent for positive change.” It’s thanks to your contribution that we can achieve this goal!

Please be aware that access to the pedestrian bridge and back yard will be restricted during the upcoming construction.

Please be aware that access to the pedestrian bridge and back yard will be restricted during the upcoming construction.

Construction on our new Millvale Tool Library buildings will begin THIS THURSDAY, October 29th! We want our staff, volunteers, patrons and community members to stay safe during this process! The bridge from Farragut Street/Alley to the Library Back Yard will be CLOSED to foot traffic until further notice. Pay attention to the posted NO PARKING signs! Back Yard access will be limited during construction. Please stay away from ALL construction equipment and sites. Both the Library and Tool Library will be open regular hours during construction. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We can't wait to share the progress with you along the way! Infinite thanks to Allegheny Regional Asset District for their support on this project and of libraries in general!

September is Love Your Library Month, when donations to ALL Allegheny County Library Association libraries are subject to a partial match thanks to The Jack Buncher Foundation!

Here at the Millvale Community Library, we've been much more than a Library; we are an agent for positive change in our Community and beyond! We've been a gathering space for meetings. We've planned music, art and science programming for adults and children. We've helped support our local immigrant and refugee populations. We've been a safe space for ALL to gather. We've helped promote food security in our neighborhood. We've protected and shared information. We've been a space where people can play, learn and grow. We've been a gateway to the digital world. We have a growing Library of Things, which includes over 1,000 tools. AND WE HAVE BOOKS!

We could not do all that (and more) without the generous support of friends and neighbors like you! Please celebrate your LOVE for the Millvale Community Library and help us continue what we do best by making a donation today via the QR code in the flier or at our website https://www.millvalelibrary.org/ and help us spread the word by sharing this post!
