Here is a tidbit of fun information. I moved from Iowa out to Ohio in 2021. I used to build houses!!!!! I specialized in interior trim. Although, I done all the various parts. I worked with another full time guy and a part time guy. We done everything from the ground up. After the concrete was in we framed houses. All kinds- one story homes on slabs, scrawl space, basements, two story, a two story with a full walk out basement!!!!!!😳😳 Electricians , Plumbers, HVAC Techs, and Drywallers done their part. While that was being done, we shingled, done siding- vinyl, smart siding, aluminum siding, cedar shakes ( on roofs and siding) and even faux brick. We done soffits and insulation.
When it was ready, we put flooring in - prefinished hardwood, lvp, and rolled vinyl. We did not do carpet. If there was carpet we hired a carpet layer for that.
Then I would go back in and set interior doors and the permanent exterior doors. Even garage doors!! We would set windows and trim them. Baseboards quarter round and crown. As needed . Where needed.
So I come from a background of lots of information and I'm happy to give ideas and suggestions along the way!!!
It's extremely rewarding to help someone turn their house into a home, and give them the masterpiece they deserve!!!
