These are vintage Sante Fe railroad shop towels. They had the logo and the shop number stamped into them to track them after they were washed. The logo was simply to distinguish them from the linens of other businesses, because of that fact, one is stamped upside down. They are a heavy cotton fabric. Where did I get them? An estate sale. I wash everything so I washed these as well. They weren't dirty but I'm still a germaphobe so... they were washed. Eventually they will make their way into my stuff at the cottage.

My kitchen doesn't have walls, the only wall is a wall of cabinets. For years I have imagined a kitchen with a wall of Daher tin plates and bowls. One of my fondest memories is of my Grandparents coming to visit at Christmas. My grandmother would bake about nine different types of cookies. The Daher tin in the first picture was one of the tins she brought every year full of cookies. I always thought it was a beautiful tin. Years later I would find that Daher made all sorts of beautiful tin items. From canisters to trays. I started collecting Daher a long time ago, simply because I liked it. Today you can purchase Daher time are in my area of Desert Cottage Antiques and Collectibles in Fort Mohave Arizona.

Over the weekend I found 1950's chrome Kromex tea and coffee canisters. Both are on my eBay account. I will combine shipping if you buy both. Enjoy!

I did not want to over clean this item and ruin it so these imperfections could be probably be removed.

Focus on style: releasing your inner Maximalist. We tend to think of Maximalism with either a love or hate lens. For those who love it, it can be difficult to achieve in a meaningful way. Time for an object lesson! Today I picked up these Commodore rose candleholders and these two roses that were staged as napkin rings. Those are not napkin rings. They are candle rings (also known as candle climbers) , the loop through them is small, but the estate sale person put napkins through them. I don't have the correct size candles but you can see how they work in the last picture. Such a fun thing to find. Most of the time the candle rings don't survive because candles fall over. Usually when you find these candle climbers they are holiday related.
