We’ve been looking for the perfect sectional for our basement theater for over a year… and our biggest requirement was finding a recliner that didn’t look like a recliner… which proved very hard to find. 😂

We finally found this modular sectional from and it feels like it was made for this space. With everything from adjustable headrests, built-in reclining, and USB/USB-C charging ports… I think movie nights down here are officially complete. 🎬🍿

$60K for a new deck?! 😱😅 I suppose we’ll have to learn to DIY it. 👀

First step: figuring out exactly how big we want this thing 😂 We’ve been using the S50 to map everything out, and I already don’t miss wrestling with a tape measure outside.

Wish us luck… this might be our biggest DIY yet. 😅

Murphy takes his job as project supervisor very seriously… especially when treats are involved 😂🐶 [AD]

We recently switched him over to Finley's and safe to say, he approves. 🤎 We also love that Finley’s is on a mission to create meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities, so treating Murphy feels a little extra good.

He may contribute absolutely nothing to the renovation…but he never misses a snack break. . 😂

Trying something a little crazy… 👀 we decided to remove the TV from our living room to create a more intentional, screen-free space for our family. 📺

Have loved using this light level for hanging artwork lately. It helped me hang this large piece completely by myself, made sure everything was perfectly level, and saved so much time.

What would you do…?

We were riding our bikes to the lake with Murphy when a German Shepherd came charging out of someone’s yard and attacked him.

We thought he had escaped without any injuries…

But once we got to the lake, we realized he’d been bitten.

He’s going to the vet tomorrow, but now we’re struggling with what to do next.

If this happened to your dog…

Would you contact the owners?

Expect them to pay the vet bill?

Report the incident?

Or let it go?

I’m genuinely curious what the majority of people would do.

I’m angry thinking that could have been my son who was luckily in our bike trailer at the time…😭

Meanwhile this is my reality every night for the last 6 years after living in a water damaged home… and never previously having asthma.

I also tested super high for mycotoxins in my urine and many different toxic mold antibodies like Stachybotrys, and suffer from and have confirmed chronic sinus infections like MARCONS. And have officially been diagnosed by a functional MD with mold toxicity and Lyme disease…

But ok, apparently mold illness isn’t real 🙃

Trusting and praying God uses my story to bring healing to others in the end ❤️

If you’re struggling with chronic sinus infections, asthma, anxiety, panic attacks, heart palpitations, dizziness, brain fog, rashes, eczema, you’re not crazy and likely there is a ROOT cause to it and I’d highly recommend seeing a functional MD to determine the root rather than treating the symptoms and running around in circles. You’re NOT crazy or making it up or a hypochondriac - MOLD illness is real and please don’t let anyone else convince you otherwise.

The saxaphones just kept getting louder…

Last year, I was finally diagnosed with mold illness after 5 years of debilitating health issues, and I’ve spent the past year doing everything I can to heal.

Four years ago, we moved out of a rental we strongly believe had significant mold problems (where my symptoms started), and after being diagnosed last year I was hoping we had left that chapter behind.

But when I peeled back the shower caulk in our current home and found this… my stomach dropped.

After everything we’ve been through, it’s hard not to wonder if this has been one more thing standing in the way of my healing. I don’t know if it’s contributing to my symptoms, but after six years of searching for answers, finding this felt like a huge setback.

Needless to say, this bathroom will be getting a complete renovation asap.

If you’ve ever dealt with mold in your home, I’d love to hear what you found and how you handled it.
