Things are happening!

If we weren’t in the midst of construction, I would have not idea this is happening. But we are in a historic drought and as a result, Portland cement, which is primary transported via barge on the river, is in short supply. Fingers crossed that we are on the list for concrete next week so our slab can be poured.

Barges are moving along the Mississippi River much more slowly and with lighter loads as they try to get corn and soybean harvest to ports.

MinnePhit House is expanding!
It is finally time to build our PassivHaus ADU.

This hole will soon be a two car garage with a one bedroom apartment above.

We are building to PassivHaus standards not only for the comfort of our guests but for the sustainability and health of our planet.

Our heat has been off for the week. We are still sitting at around 70 degrees. Lots of laundry and baking helps!
