Steps in a process of developing the addition of Home #7, Logan Modern Addition. Concept image, elevations, structural diagrams, framing. Each step of the way as important as the next. Framing this addition took a careful balance to accommodate the windows, ceiling height, skylights, as well as removing the existing bearing wall. Thanks to structural engineers that will work with me on outside of the box ideas.

Excited to see you all Sept. 23-24

Home 7, an addition and remodel for an architect and interior designer by ERE Architecture, is a thoughtful solution to the owners' needs that nests into the existing house but expresses itself as a modern intervention. The addition is an eight-foot by 30-foot one-story extension with a full basement. The addition doubled the size of the kitchen and includes a new patio door for day-to-day flow from the garage and a 12-foot folding window wall. The attached one-car garage that was being utilized as storage was transformed into a den/guest bedroom and three-quarters bath.

Stair is coming together on this remodel and addition. Relocating the stairwell was a central idea to reconfiguring the flow of the house. It connected more spaces together, and opened up more spaces to the views to the backyard and park beyond. ​​​​​​​​​.​​​​​​​​​.
