Catching up on all of our recent events! We have been incredibly busy throughout May and into June, but we’d like to take a moment to reflect on some meaningful experiences along the way.

Mashkiki Studios was honored to be invited to gift eagle feathers and medicine bundles to the new Native DNP nursing graduates at their honoring ceremony.

It was a beautiful and moving event. Hearing their stories as matriarchs, students, and healers within their communities was incredibly powerful. Graduates represented Tribal Nations and First Nations from across Turtle Island, including White Earth Nation, the Navajo Nation, the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, and Fort William First Nations.

These graduates serve their Tribal, urban, and rural communities, carrying their knowledge, compassion, and commitment back to the people who need them most. Their dedication to advancing Indigenous health while honoring their cultures, communities, and ways of knowing is inspiring.

Congratulations to each of the graduates on this well-earned achievement. It was a privilege to celebrate alongside you and witness such an important milestone.

What a gift it was to be there and share in this moment. ❤️

Freshly picked sweetgrass 🌾
Known as Wiingashk in Ojibwe and Macúahca in Hidatsa. Sweetgrass is often called the kindness medicine and loved for its sweet smell, grounding, and those times when you feel pulled out of character and need to come back to yourself. All this rain has our medicine growing long and strong 🌧️ Perfect for our workshops and sweetgrass products at Mashkiki Studios.

Sweetgrass oil is officially in the works again ✨ My personal favorite and one y’all ask for all the time 🌻🥰
