Spent the day in some beautiful spots in East Tennessee. A dreamy u-pick lavender farm Midfield Lavender Farm where we tasted lavender lemonade and wandered through the fields.
And then a hike at Carver's Gap with a breathtaking view at the top. Swipe to the last frame for a 360° view that's amazing. 😍

I've been working on a mini makeover in our living room for a couple of weeks. This room has a challenging layout and gives me fits when I try to arrange furniture.
I think I finally have most of the room set up in a way I really like. But I still have a lot of things to relocate from in here.

Drastic changes aren't always needed to make a space look and feel better.
The rug, paint, blinds, and curtains didn't change but several other items in our living room did.
I relocated some vintage furniture pieces, made a gallery wall with my favorite thrifted and vintage art, and replaced our too-small sofa and cat-clawed chair with new furniture gifted from .
Their snugg sofa and chairs are the perfect fit for this wide, shallow room that has always been challenging for me. Not too big, not too small, and very comfortable.

I haven't shared any pictures of our early 2000's kitchen in a long time. It's mostly clean and the sunlight is great this morning so here it is. There's a video in the last slide if you prefer that.
The size and layout of this room is one of the things we loved about this house. But honestly, I don't love the finishes in here and have lived with it for nearly 20 years. 🤯 Time goes by so fast, doesn't it?
Anyway, the cabinets are in almost perfect condition so we can't justify changing them. They might get new hardware and a color upgrade with either paint or a glaze of some type. Still undecided.
Wood cabinets are back in style and I do prefer the warmth of wood over stark white cabinets. We had those in our last house and they were so hard to keep clean.
The counters and floors will likely be updated within the next year. Probably a whitish counter and either tile or wood floors.
Do you have anything in your house that you tolerate but don't love, but also can't justify changing? Do tell.
