vestigation. Our founding principals--Richard Hammel, Curt Green and Bruce Abrahamson--established precedence for collaboration, aesthetic achievement and client service since our founding in 1953. These criteria still inspire HGA today as architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and allied professionals work alongside each other from a building's inception through move-in to develop solutions uniquely suited to each client.

A new HGA-designed "campus landmark” at Case Western Reserve University was approved by Cleveland’s Planning Commission. Construction on the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Building will start later this year. The new facility increases the amount and quality of innovative research space. John Frane, design principal with HGA, has been selected as a judge for ARCHITECT magazine’s 2024 Architecture and Interiors Awards. Healthcare Design provides a first look at the new surgical and critical care facility at Allina Health Abbott Northwestern Hospital. The project re-envisions the hospital’s campus and will offer much needed space for additional beds and interventional procedures. HGA worked with hospital staff and on a design that opens the campus to the surrounding community, using new entrances and a welcoming arrival garden. Constructed with Mortenson. Archinect features the top green projects and sustainability innovations of 2023, with highlights focusing on decarbonization, successful applications of sustainability principles, material research, and policy implementation. Located in the Friendship Heights neighborhood of Chevy Chase, Maryland, the Heights Food Hall is now open. Designed by HGA and developed by Common Plate Hospitality, the hall is an elevated culinary experience reminiscent of the Washington, D.C. trolley system that moved people between downtown Washington, D.C. and the suburbs. The Child, Adolescent, and Adult Behavioral Health Services Center at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center will be the first Santa Clara County-operated inpatient facility specifically for children and adolescents in need of behavioral health services. HGA worked with the County in designing the facility to prioritize patient safety, connections to nature, and biophilic design. Take a “first look” in Healthcare Design:

The updated Jellycat office in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis feels soft, warm, and full of life. The Minneapolis-St Paul Business Journal features HGA’s buildout of the plush toy company’s 21,405 square-foot office space. With colors including pink and turquoise and a display showcasing the company’s toys, the vibrant inviting office pays tribute to Jellycat’s brand. Read the full story here:
