1 year ago I rented U-Haul pods and started working on the garage. Cleaning it out. Insulating the walls. Plywood on the walls. Sheetrock ceiling and insulation. Then start trying to make it a workshop area and garage.
Tonight was very bittersweet. I finally got lights up and the paint storage done. I lost a lot in this year trying to make this space. I have cancelled plans, put things on the back burner, lost confidence from people waiting for projects, become so exhausted & emotional and I lost my biggest cheerleader. I was so proud and then flooded with emotions! Stay tuned for more updates.

Living in Minot, we're surrounded by the history and mission of Minot Air Force Base. It's one of the few places in the country that supports 2 legs of the Nuclear Triad—the B-52 Stratofortress and the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. That's a unique piece of history and a source of pride for many in our community.

That connection inspired a couple of new creations in the shop.

I'm not ready to show all the details yet, but here's a sneak peek. 👀

One piece highlights the legendary B-52, while the other pays tribute to the Minuteman III missile system. The full reveals are coming soon, along with a closer look at the designs and what inspired them.

I met a wonderful family who started their lives together in Canada (Calgary), moved to Minot, ND and now off to Austin, TX. This piece shows their journey and the ❤️ ❤️❤️ they left along the way! Probably one of my favorite meanings behind a design.

From “what even is that?” to auction piece. 👀🦫

This spring, the 54th Helicopter Squadron dropped off items for the Prairie Warrior Auction hosted by the Minot Area Chamber EDC to help raise funds that support morale activities for enlisted members at Minot Air Force Base.

Among the donations was… a hard, dried-out beaver tail. 😅

Since the beaver is part of the 54th Helicopter Squadron, I was challenged to turn it into something worthy of the auction table — especially while so many members of the squadron are currently deployed.

After a lot of planning, drilling into the hard beaver tail, engraving the squadron symbol into acrylic, sanding and bringing the grain to life with oil… here is the final reveal. The original beaver tail became the centerpiece of a custom handcrafted sign made to help raise even more money for a great cause.

This project was definitely one of the most unique things I’ve ever been asked to create — and honestly, a meaningful one too.

Huge thank you to the men and women of the 54th Helicopter Squadron for their service, and to everyone who supports the Prairie Warrior Auction each year. 🇺🇸

🎓 Graduation season is here!

I skipped the plain card and made the grad something a little more fun 💙✨
(I actually made 2, but headed out the door quickly without a pic of the first one).

It is a custom money/gift card holder made to match the school colors, making the gift feel extra special!
