In Mexico, there’s a special kind of ant called the honey ant. Unlike bees, it doesn’t need a hive. Instead, it carries the honey inside its own body. Its belly swells up like a living jar, filled with sweet nectar it gathers from flowers at night.
People in dry regions carefully collect this honey by squeezing it out, then let the ant go free. By the next day, it refills again, ready to be tapped once more. Some call it nature’s smallest beekeeper, others see it as strange. But one thing is clear... this tiny ant holds a secret sweeter than most hives.
