Perspective was established in 1990 with a commitment to providing high quality design services for dynamic, fiscally responsible clients throughout the United States who value our design and leadership services. Growing naturally by “proving our wares” with our clients on small projects, the firm has blossomed into a comprehensive design firm with a national footprint in the fields commercial office design, corporate interiors, retail design, multi-family housing, mixed-use design, master planning, project management, environmental graphics and green building design. Further, we have become designers who “talk it and walk it,” evidenced by our purchase and restoration of two historic buildings in downtown Kansas City, as well as by providing owner-agent roles for our clients on large scale projects in California, Kansas, Michigan and Oklahoma.

This past weekend, Karbank Real Estate hosted a celebration marking the completion of the 1957 Building, bringing together Jonkman Construction and the many partners who helped make this project a success. From the early stages of construction to the finishing touches, it’s been a great year of collaboration and hard work. The celebration included good food, drinks, music, and great company.

Take a look back at the progress of the building throughout the year and the people who helped bring it all together. A big thank-you to Karbank Real Estate Company for the celebration, and inviting us to be a part of such an amazing project!

Perspective reimagined T-Mobile’s four-story atrium to reflect a more contemporary, hospitality-inspired identity—while honoring the architecture’s history. Rather than erase the building’s classical character, the renovation selectively edits it. Original stone architrave and detailing are preserved and woven into a new composition of warm wood and blackened steel, which conceals existing marble columns and establishes a new vertical rhythm across all four levels. A custom four-story watercolor wallcovering extends through the open stair, bringing softness, movement, and an organic counterpoint to the precision of the new materials while visually connecting the space to T-Mobile’s brand. The result is a warmer, more inviting destination that balances preservation and transformation—celebrating what was inherited while creating something distinctly forward-looking.

We’re proud to share that our work on the T-Mobile Winter Garden received a Best Use of Branding Award from 3form, recognizing the thoughtful integration of brand, architecture, and experience.

We transformed the 12,500-square-foot event space into an immersive environment that brings the brand’s signature visual identity to life. At the lobby entry, a six-foot illuminated 3form T-Digit logo welcomes guests, while stacked, glowing 3form blocks flank the permanent stage and echo T-Mobile’s iconic square “digit.” An eight-foot 3form logo behind the stage doubles as an interactive backdrop, while magenta LED strips trace the columns and draw the eye throughout the space. Paired with an expansive LED screen, acoustic elements, and an integrated sound system, these branded installations create a dynamic, high-energy setting for company gatherings and large-scale events.

A groundbreaking ceremony marks more than the start of construction—it celebrates the vision, collaboration, and commitment behind bringing a meaningful project to life.

Over the past 10+ months, Perspective Architecture + Design has partnered with Kansas State Bank to reimagine a historic three-story brick and heavy-timber building near downtown Ottawa, Kansas. The project will restore its historic character while transforming it into a modern operations center and creating a seamless connection to the bank’s existing Main Street facility.

We’re proud to help give this historic building a new purpose—blending its past with the future. We look forward to celebrating the grand opening in 2027!
