Another project in the books! This client had old single pane wood windows. Some of which were in such bad shape from wood rot that the glass was just about to fall out. The customers chose to use Jeldwen Custom line wood windows.
On wood window applications, you have several choices for replacement windows. Vinyl windows are the best value and most affordable choice. They’re structurally sound, energy efficient and code compliant when ordered through us. A second choice is to do wood window sash replacement kits. With this method you can leave the original frames in place, repair or replace any rotten frame parts if needed and retro fit it with new sashes, balancers and tracks. This gives you the look and benefits of complete new wood windows with a better price point and a lot less disturbance during installation. Lastly you can choose to replace with whole wood or aluminum clad/wood window units. This is the most expensive option but also allows us to do a more thorough job of installation than sash replacement kits and is also a more historically correct look than can be achieved with vinyl windows.
Jeldwen wood windows are also accepted for historic home applications.
