🏖️ A Little R&R, A Little Softball, and a Whole Lot of Family Time! 🥎

This week, we're heading to Myrtle Beach for a few days of much-needed rest and relaxation. More importantly, Bristol and the rest of the Carolina Wolfpack are headed down to compete in a tournament, and we can't wait to cheer them on!

Now, if you know our family, you know this trip was always going to involve softball. But Mama made one thing very clear... she wasn't going all the way to the beach without actually spending some time ON the beach. And let's be honest, when Mama ain't happy, nobody's happy. 😆

While we're gone, don't worry—we've got you covered. If you find yourself dealing with a garage door emergency, our good friends over at Garage Doors of the Triad will be available to help get you squared away until we return.

Most homeowners know how old their roof is.
Most know how old their HVAC system is.

But when it comes to the largest moving object in their home, they have no clue. 😆

We'll start:

Most garages have a lawn mower, a few tools, and maybe some Christmas decorations.

But we've seen everything from antique tractors and classic cars to taxidermy collections and enough random bolts to build a small bridge and thats just all the garages at our house. 😆

June is PTSD Awareness Month.

As a veteran-owned business, this one hits close to home.

Before E-4 Garage Door ever existed, I served in the United States Marine Corps. Like many veterans, I brought home more than just memories from my time overseas. Some wounds heal with time. Others stay with you.

PTSD isn't always visible. You won't see it in a person's smile, their handshake, or the work they do every day. It can affect veterans, first responders, survivors of trauma, and countless others who are carrying battles the world can't see.

Some days are harder than others. Certain sounds, places, dates, or memories can bring things rushing back when you least expect it. But one thing I've learned is that nobody should have to fight those battles alone.

This month, we encourage everyone to check on their friends, family members, coworkers, and neighbors. A simple conversation can mean more than you'll ever know.

To those struggling with PTSD: You're not weak. You're not broken. And you're definitely not alone.

Memorial Day means something different when you’ve seen the true cost of freedom firsthand.

Before E-4 Garage Door was ever a business, I was a Marine deployed to Afghanistan. I came home carrying scars you can see… and some you can’t. I lost brothers over there. Good men who never made it home to their families.

So today, while everyone is enjoying time with family, firing up grills, and celebrating the long weekend, I ask that you take a moment to remember the men and women who gave everything for this country. The ones who didn’t get to come home.

But also remember your veteran friends and family members who did make it home… because for many of us, days like this bring old battles back to the surface. The memories. The faces. The moments we wish we could forget.

Freedom is never free. Some paid for it with their lives, and others carry the weight of it every single day after.

From my family and all of us at E-4 Garage Door, we honor the fallen, we stand with our veterans, and we will never forget the sacrifice made for our freedom.
