Replacing main lift springs for this mechanical dock leveler

Last Friday emergency service call, door was hit by overhead crane. We got new door sections freaky fast! We got this door back up and running manual. Tyson Kransky and Alex went back on Monday to replace the hoist opener and the damaged tracks !

Service, vacuum out dock pit before any welding can be done. Welded steel rings inside of cup so pull ring stops falling down into pit, added more welds to the steel brace for hold down. The yellow paint is where the repairs were made. I greased all the spots where it requires grease and l**e up mechanical dock leveler. I adjusted the main lift springs and adjusted the lip.

Semi truck was backing in and smashed the heck out of the old dock bumpers, with that amount of force cracked the concrete behind bumpers. So when I do job checks like this there’s always a solution for the long haul. We installed,welded, anchored 1/2” steel plates and 1/2”x6” angle for the outer sides of the steel plate. We replaced their hold down so dock leveler would stay down. Also l**ed and serviced the dock leveler. This dock leveler should have been replaced because it’s pretty damaged but it’s what their budget can afford.
