One of my favorite things about being a small business owner is the relationships you build along the way.

As I settle into our new, expanded space at Yesterdays and Todays Unique Treasures, I’m excited to share something new with you!

In addition to our candles, body fragrances, and home fragrances, we’re proud to have partnered with Persephone's Garden to bring her handmade incense into the Alchemy & Fire collection.

Even more exciting, she has created two exclusive incense fragrances just for Alchemy & Fire that you won’t find anywhere else (the Black Cherry Vino 🤌). These custom blends were inspired by our brand and local living, and pair beautifully with the fragrance experience you’ve come to expect from us.

Supporting other small businesses has always been important to me, and when the opportunity came to collaborate with someone whose products complement ours so beautifully, it felt like a perfect fit.

Whether you’re creating a cozy evening ritual, refreshing your space, or looking for a thoughtful gift, you’ll now find even more ways to fill your home with beautiful fragrance.

One of the goals I’ve had since starting my business six years ago has been to have a space where customers could shop our full collection in one place.

One of the questions I get asked most often at markets is, “Do you have a storefront?”

Today, the answer is… kind of.

I’m excited to share that Alchemy & Fire Candle Co. is expanding inside Yesterdays and Todays Unique Treasures! While it’s not a standalone storefront (yet), I’m moving from a single 5-shelf bookcase into a 5’ x 8’ booth space where I’ll be able to offer nearly all of our candles, roller perfumes, body sprays, room sprays, and home fragrance products in one location.

As exciting as this move is, it’s also a reminder that growth doesn’t have to happen all at once.

When I first started this business, I had big dreams and big goals, but I’ve learned that sustainable growth happens one step at a time. Growing too quickly can become overwhelming, while growing too slowly can leave you feeling stuck. The sweet spot is steady, intentional growth—taking the next right step when the time is right.

This new space feels like exactly that.

And honestly, the timing couldn’t be better. As we head into the summer months and the heat settles in, I’ll be slowing down on markets a bit. Having a larger retail space means you’ll still have a place to shop Alchemy & Fire while I spend the summer creating, planning, and preparing for the busy fall season ahead.

Thank you for supporting every stage of this journey—from kitchen creations and market tents to bookshelves and now a booth space that truly feels like a little Alchemy & Fire shop of its own.

I can’t wait to share the finished space with you.

Just a few more days till Summerville Family YMCA Flowertown Festival and the debut of the new chapter for Alchemy & Fire Candle!!

I have been burning the midnight hours (yes, pun intended!) trying to get everything finished to share with you guys. And I have to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has been by a market since our announcement. You guys have showed us so much love and excitement about this rebrand. 💜🙏

If you're stopping by to see us, we are in the same location we have been the last 2 years (yay!) For those you are stopping by for the first time, we are between Main St and the sidewalk, just past W 3rd S St. (map is approximate) closer to Bethany United Methodist Church.

I didn’t plan on completely rebranding Alchemy & Fire this year.

In fact, the original plan was just a small refresh — a few updates, a little polish after six years of growing this business and watching it evolve.

But along the way, I discovered something that honestly stopped me in my tracks — our aesthetic and brand style had been copied.

I won’t lie… it hit hard. REAL HARD.

Alchemy & Fire has always been deeply personal to me. Every fragrance, every label, every detail has been something I’ve poured my heart into building over the last six years. For a little while, I truly questioned whether it was worth continuing after seeing something I had worked so hard to create being replicated.

There was a lot of soul-searching behind the scenes. A lot of late nights thinking about what this business means — not just to me, but to all of you who have supported it from the beginning.

In the end, I realized something important: Alchemy & Fire deserves to keep evolving.

So instead of walking away, I decided to take a leap and completely reimagine our brand.

That means new labels, a new look, and the beginning of a fresh chapter for Alchemy & Fire — while still keeping the same fragrances, quality, and intention that built this business in the first place.

And in true small-business fashion… I’ve decided to debut the entire new look at The FlowerTown Festival later this month.

Which is either the dumbest business move or the smartest business move I’ve ever made — and honestly, we’re all about to find out together. 😅

For those of you who love our original apothecary-style jars — don’t worry. They aren’t disappearing overnight. They’ll still be available at our retail partner locations, and I’ll continue offering them by special request until our current jars are gone.

This next chapter feels both scary and exciting, but more than anything I’m incredibly grateful. Your support, encouragement, and love for this brand are the reason Alchemy & Fire is still here today.
