Saturday 10/31 Hanahan Artisan and Farmers Market from 10a-1pm
There will be a pumpkin carving contest (need to preregister). 🎃
OF COURSE we will have candy for the kiddos. 🍬🍭

We have missed seeing everyone around town the last few weekends, but DONT WORRY, you KNOW I've filled my schedule as much as possible for the rest of the year! (send help or a body double)! 🤣

And yes, the Winter Holiday Collection will be making its debut VERY SOON. 🎄

💜🕯️ MARKET WEEK & MONDAY MOOD 🕯️💜

Well, friends… even though I didn’t do any markets this weekend, that doesn’t mean I sat around doing nothing. 🤣

Saturday was an all-day adventure in decorating and event coordinating (yes, apparently I’ve added ANOTHER thing to my ever-growing list of adventures 😂).

Our friends at Ophelia's W**es & Bites asked me to bring to life their vision for their twin girls Sweet 16. 🎂🎉
So naturally we celebrated with not one but TWO parties! 😅💜 And we may have stumbled upon the coolest thing around town for the kiddos to do!

And even though I needed to sleep in, there was no time. Sunday evening we wrapped up our FIRST Candle & Charcuterie Class at Yesterdays and Todays Unique Treasures! 🕯️🧀🍇

So, no market recap this Monday, but plenty of memories made, new adventures started, and probably a few things still waiting on my to-do list. You know how it goes. 😂

Now we’re looking ahead to a brand-new week! Keep an eye out for our upcoming market schedule, more behind-the-scenes moments, and all the usual fragrance-filled shenanigans.

🕯️💜 WHAT’S BURNING WEDNESDAY 💜🕯️

Let’s talk about the perfectly imperfect mess that is… well, LIFE. 😂

This is what candle-making looks like at my house. Not a beautifully styled workspace with coordinated props, perfect lighting, and one lonely candle sitting pretty on a marble countertop.

Nope. This is fragrance bottles, pouring pitchers, dozens of candles, approximately 47 things happening at once, and me trying to remember what I’ve already poured. 🤣

And honestly? Life isn’t all that different.

We’re juggling work, family, responsibilities, appointments, laundry, grocery lists, and approximately 10 million things that all seem to need our attention RIGHT. NOW.
Like my new baby chickens finding the open draft vents at the VERY top of their coup….

Social media makes it easy to think everybody else has a perfectly organized life with a spotless house, a thriving business, and absolutely no idea what it feels like to lose their phone while they’re holding it. 😂

But real life isn’t a styled photo shoot.

Sometimes it’s messy. Sometimes it’s chaotic. Sometimes you’re just doing your best to keep all the wheels on the bus and hoping one more thing doesn’t need your immediate attention…

And that’s OKAY. 💜

Behind every beautiful finished product, every successful business, and every picture-perfect moment, there’s usually a whole lot of unglamorous work that nobody sees.

So here’s your reminder today: You don’t have to make your life look perfect for it to be beautiful.

Give yourself a little grace. Celebrate what you did get done. And if all you accomplished today was keeping yourself and everyone else alive, fed, and mostly where they’re supposed to be… I’m counting it. 😂🙌

🌿💜 TAKE-A-BREATH TUESDAY 💜🌿

Sometimes, you just need to stop for a minute and take in what’s right in front of you. 🌅

This was the view from our property, and honestly? It’s a pretty good reminder that not every beautiful moment needs to be planned, photographed perfectly, or turned into another item on the to-do list.

Sometimes it’s a pink sky, the quiet of the woods, and a couple of deer doing their thing while the rest of the world is waking up.

Life gets busy. The lists get longer. The laundry multiplies when nobody is looking, and somehow there’s always something else that needs doing. 😂

But we can’t spend all our time rushing toward the next thing and forget to enjoy the moments we’re living right now.

So here’s your reminder today: You do NOT have to earn your rest. You don’t have to finish everything before you’re allowed to pause.

Take a breath. Step outside. Enjoy your coffee while it’s still hot. Light that candle you’ve been saving for a special occasion.

And remember, the ordinary moments are often the ones that become our favorite memories. 💜🕯️

Plot twist: YOU are the special occasion. ✨

💜🐔 MONDAY MOOD: A LITTLE FRIZZLED, A LITTLE FRAZZLED, AND JUST TRYING TO KEEP IT TOGETHER. 😂

Happy Monday (what’s left of it)!
Welcome to a brand-new week at Alchemy & Fire Candle Co.!

If your weekend was anything like ours, you might still be trying to dry out, regroup, and figure out what the heck just happened. 🌧️😅

Between the effects of Hurricane Isaias, all the rain and flooding, and markets getting canceled, this past weekend definitely didn’t go according to plan.

Mother Nature said, “Not today, folks,” and apparently didn’t care one bit about anybody’s schedule. 🙃

So if you’re feeling a little like my new frizzled feathered friend here, just know you’re in good company. Some Mondays call for big goals and fresh starts. Others call for a deep breath, a little caffeine, and accepting that we’re all just doing our best. 😂🐔

On the bright side, we’re heading into a new week with a little more room to breathe, and keeping our market schedule a little lighter, so we can celebrate a birthday girl who’s about to turn ONE! 💕🎂

🍂🎃 HELLO, OCTOBER. 🎃🍂

It doesn’t matter what the thermostat says.
It doesn’t matter that Mother Nature is still apparently confused.
It’s October, so it’s officially FALL. We don’t make the rules. 😉

We would prefer our fall weather to come with a little less humidity and a lot more crisp air, but until the weather gets its act together, we’re bringing the fall vibes ourselves. 🍁🕯️

Think cozy scents, spooky season, fall favorites, and all the things that make us want to light a candle, grab a blanket, and pretend we live somewhere with actual sweater weather.

And now that September has officially ended…
