The Thin-spined jumping spider (Tutelina elegans) is a gorgeous, metallic jumping spider. To deceive ants, this spider mimics the movements of an their antennae by waving its front pair of legs in the air, allowing it to sneak close before capturing and eating them.

The Bumblebee Robberfly (Laphria flava) looks just like a fuzzy bumblebee at first glance. This disguise allows these harmless-looking predators to sneak up on unsuspecting prey that typically avoid stinging bees.

Wild Ginger (Asarum canadense) is now available in our retail store!

Wild Ginger can be used to fill in deep-shade areas that would otherwise be left bare and brown. The deep green, velvety leaves sit just above the ground and stay green all summer long. The flowers are a deep red/maroon and held below the leaves almost on the ground.

For best results, we recommend that they be planted in light shade to shade (or morning sun if you have it) in soils that are anything but heavy clay.

Not all of our nursery stock is available for purchase. 🐦🥚

These Smooth Hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens) have already been claimed by a robin and her growing family. We guess even the birds know quality plants when they see them!

We'll be giving this little family plenty of space while they finish their stay.
