Ah, I love a good throwback post! Asparagus is such a fascinating vegetable to grow. It's amazing how quickly those little crowns can turn into big, hearty plants. I remember when we divided them last year, and how huge the crowns were!

I think one of the keys to growing asparagus successfully is to make sure you have a good, healthy bed for them. That's why we decided to redo the bed when we divided the crowns. We wanted to make sure that the plants had plenty of space to grow, as well as plenty of nutrients to feed on.

I think it's also important to be patient when growing asparagus. It's not a vegetable that you can harvest right away. You have to wait a few years before the plants are established enough to produce a good crop. But once they do, it's definitely worth the wait!

I'm looking forward to seeing how our asparagus bed looks this year. I have a feeling those crowns are going to be even bigger and more productive than they were last year. Who knows, maybe we'll even have enough to share with our friends and family!
