We are excited to announce the installation of commemorative paver bricks in front of the pavilion in our Experiential Learning Garden! For just $125, you can leave a lasting legacy while supporting the educational and community outreach efforts of the Walton County Master Gardeners.

These personalized engraved bricks are a wonderful way to celebrate your family, honor a loved one, recognize your church, showcase your business, or highlight your youth organization or garden club. We are so excited to be a part of the Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts Garden Tour this Saturday, May 9, from 11 to 4. Tickets are still available to purchase at their website. The weather forecast looks great, and we will have Ashley Frasca, host of Green and Growing with Ashley Frasca on WSB, as well as Scott Prophett of Bartlett Tree Experts, who will be handing out lily magnolia, crabapple, and chaste tree saplings to all that attend. In addition, we will have Billy Farmer of Billy's Bees and President of Walton County Beekeepers Association to answer your questions. We will also be selling a limited number of clay pots and plants leftover from our plant sale. Come see our garden - it's worth the trip!

The Drip Irrigation Workshop scheduled for today has been cancelled due to much needed rain! We have rescheduled it for next Monday, May 4, at 10 AM at our Experiential Learning Garden at the Walton County Extension office. This will be a hands-on workshop where you learn by doing - bring gloves, knee pads, and wear work clothes and come have fun! 💧

On Tuesday, April 21st, we had our first school buses pull up to the ELG loaded with 12 students from Social Circle Elementary School. We taught them how to make a pizza pot, demonstrated how compost is made, let them pick radishes, and shared how pollination works. It was a great experience for the students, the teachers, and MG’s!!! Downtown Social Circle, GA
