Back in March, Jess and I headed down to Florida to go on a cruise. We decided to stop for the night in Dunnellon, Floridaāa town neither one of us had ever heard of before.
After doing a little research to see what was around, we decided our first stop before even checking into the hotel would be Rainbow Springs State Park.
When we first pulled in, I wasn't really sure what to think. We drove down this long road to the parking lot and there wasn't much to see. I was starting to wonder if we had picked the wrong place.
Then we walked over the hill and saw thisā¦ š®š¦
The water was absolutely beautiful! Turquoise and blue-green and so clear it almost didn't look real. But what surprised us even more was everything else we foundāwaterfalls, gardens, hiking trails, wildlife and some really interesting history that we had no idea was there.
It ended up being one of those unexpected stops that you're really glad you made.
I put together our whole experience, plus some of the things you can do at Rainbow Springs State Park, on the blog.
