Building Skills. Building Confidence. Building Community.

This summer Lucas Lee, a student at Central Academy of Technology & Arts (CATA) spent part of his summer break volunteering and gaining hands on carpentry experience alongside Lloyd and the 2x4 Guys.

This is what Habitat is about, bringing generations together, sharing skills, serving our community and giving young people opportunities to learn by doing.

A big thank you to Lucas for choosing to spend part of his summer serving and to Lloyd and the 2x4 Guys for investing their time and experience into the next generation.

WHY I SERVE | Jarvis T. Woodburn, Board President

For Jarvis T. Woodburn serving on the Board of Directors of Union-Anson County Habitat for Humanity is about helping make the dream of homeownership possible for families in our community.

With the cost of housing continuing to put homeownership out of reach for many deserving families. Habitat provides a “hand up” creating opportunities for qualified families to work toward safe, affordable housing and a place they can proudly call their own.

For Jarvis one of the most rewarding moments is seeing the pride and joy on the faces of new homeowners when they finally receive the keys to their home.

We’re grateful for his leadership as Board President and his continued commitment to the families of Union and Anson Counties.

Building homes. Building hope. Building community.

Why I Serve

For Kenda McCoy, serving on the Union-Anson Habitat for Humanity Board is deeply personal.

Having lived in this community her entire life, she’s witnessed its growth, its challenges, and the people who make it special. Serving with Habitat is her way of giving back to the place that has given so much to her and her family.

“Habitat for Humanity is about more than building homes, it strengthens.

Through her service, she’s helping ensure that future generations have the same opportunity to build a better life right here in Union and Anson Counties.

Thank you for your dedication to our mission and for helping build strength, stability, and hope through affordable homeownership.
