The Louisiana Native Plant Society is offering its Louisiana Native Professional Certification Program, a hands-on course designed for landscape and environmental professionals who want to deepen their skills in native plant ecology, identification, planning, and maintenance. The program includes classroom instruction, field walks, plant ID sessions, and landscape planning exercises led by expert instructors — all aimed at preparing you to work confidently with native plant landscapes.
Date: June 13 - 14
Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM each day
Location: 150 Eagle Bend Point., Bossier City, Louisiana, 71112
Cost: $400.00
Register by May 23rd, 2026

We are getting ready for the annual plant sale at The Biedenharn Museum and Gardens of Monroe! This will be our first public sale of the season (and might be our only). Our first class for the Louisiana Native Plant Professional Certification has been completed! It was an exciting initiative full of great learning and a wonderful group of people enthusiastic about landscaping with native plants.

Many thanks to the volunteers who organized this course and taught the class. This type of program takes countless hours of collaboration to bring to life. Thank you!
