I have been waiting and waiting for her to bloom…she did not disappoint! (First pic)

Echinacea purpurea “Parrot”
$22/gallon (I also have less fancy from $5-15)

Come see me while I still have hair…next weekend I probably won’t. 🤦🏻‍♀️ PLEASE don’t think you’re bothering me, I’m moving a little slower than usual but I’m still here to answer all your questions! I only had 3 customers last week. It reminds me of that Shel Silverstein poem Hammock (I memorized half the books when I was little).

Grandma sent the hammock, The good Lord sent the breeze,
I’m here to do the swinging
Now who’s gonna move the trees?

If you need it or want it, I’ve got it! You just have to get here. Open til 5:00 today, and 12:00-5:00 tomorrow and Sunday. We will NOT be at the market tomorrow…I just want my loyal customers to know that was not my choice! I did not (and will not) bail on you.

Pineapple sage is magical. These pics were taken in November so it’s one of the last things to bloom! I break a whole branch off of it every day to feed my rabbits and still looks like this! It attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators and the leaves can be used fresh or dried in teas, fruit dishes, and desserts.

Come by tomorrow, Saturday or Sunday and pick one up from 12:00-5:00

“Minibeckia flame” is a compact, long-blooming black-eyed Susan that produces masses of bright golden-yellow flowers from summer into fall. Its tidy, mounded habit makes it ideal for borders, containers, and small garden spaces. Growing about 12–18” tall and wide (they don’t get so tall the require staking to keep from flopping over) and attracts bees and butterflies while providing reliable color and excellent heat and drought tolerance once established.

$15/gallon

Open today through Sunday from 12:00-5:00.

1.5 gallon Back in Black sedum/stonecrop
(Last picture is what the blooms will look like)

$25

Are you looking for something tough to plant near concrete that won’t shrivel in the heat?

The foliage is beautiful enough so blooms are just gravy for this beauty! Blooms late summer through fall, with cream-colored flowers with deep red centers that attract bees and butterflies. It easily handles heat, drought, and is deer and rabbit resistant.

Open tomorrow through Sunday from 12:00-5:00.

If you’d like to support local, I’m happy to help you figure out the perfect plants for any spot in your garden!
If you need more reasons to buy from a local yokel:

-I care what happens when you leave…I don’t love my plants any less when they’re in your yard

-nothing has been forced to bloom in a greenhouse so flowers bloom when they are supposed to, keeping out pollinating friends happy

-absolutely no chemicals used (also keeping pollinators happy)

-I’ve been serving Union County for over 20 years and understand what plants grow in our conditions…you will not find finicky, fussy plants (or annuals) here.

I will be open
tomorrow (Friday) 12:00-5:00
Saturday 10:00-5:00
Sunday 12:00-5:00

If you have not visited, the nursery is behind the house. There are signs out front and the blue fire department numbers on the mailbox. Yes, you are I the right place! You can’t miss the goats. So many goats…🤦🏻‍♀️🐐 If the gate is closed, there is a bell on the gate. Or if you don’t want to wait for me to bulldog wrangle, you can message me before you come.

I love when customers are here and look up and see a sight like this as I said “cue the wildlife!” He’s patiently waiting for a quail or chicken to make a jailbreak. It’s not happening but I’m certainly not going to be the one to tell him.

Come see us in the morning at Waxhaw Farmers Market from 9:00-12:00 or at the house from 2:00-6:00. You may see a monarch, skink, or Oompa Loompa. You never know around here.

I looked for a Mother’s Day quote that didn’t make me roll my eyes. As with most things in life, I came back around to the wisdom of Pooh.

A friend includes wheatgrass to her dogs diet and they really enjoy it. I only have the one (and it looks like the prettiest cake I’ve ever seen), but if you’re interested, I’ll be starting 4x4” pots.

If anyone wants some (or all) of this one, I can cut it!

Far be it from me to praise the botanical industrial complex, but hats off to Proven Winners "Taste of Heaven" thornless blackberry. According to their website:

"We tasted hundreds of different blackberries so you wouldn’t have to! From amongst many, many trials, we selected Taste of Heaven thornless blackberry for its super large and super sweet berries. Unlike some options that are all seed and no juice, the ratio is perfect with these inch long fruits. You’ll get to enjoy harvesting for several weeks in the summertime and you won’t get cut once, as this variety is thornless. This variety produces fruit on second-year canes, so you don’t technically need to support it if you keep it well pruned. If you plan to plant a few of them, you’ll find it easier to harvest and trim them if they are trellised.Top reasons to grow Taste of Heaven blackberry?
-Thornless
-Truly delicious sweet taste
-Weeks-long fruit harvest

Attracts: Bees, Birds, Butterflies"

These bushes are stunning and so big that I could barely pick it up without it hitting me in the face. They are $35

I also have some 1 gallon pots for $15 if you'd rather start your own. They are not the same kind, but still thornless

Open from 10:00-5:00 Saturday and 12:00-5:00 Sunday
