If you work for a company yes it's cool. But you just cost that person 2-5 k in 1 to 2 years. And they are already paying top dollar for a top company name. Paying the sales guy 1500 bucks to sale the job. The service tech a 100 dollar incentive to send a lead over to sales. Then supervisor, and cold callers, letters sent, office staff, three trips out just to close a deal. At this point your at 4000 dollars before you even buy the system now add 2500 for materials and 1000 for install and 1000 for warranty and tax. Your at 9500k add 40% for mark up. Now customer has to finance a new HVAC system for $13,500 plus interest rates. So 18k for a system that cost $2800-$4000. Depending on system and accessory's. Then 1500-2500 on installation. So a small company came do the same job for half the price same warranty. As well if the company owner installs it you know he don't want to come back like I do all my own installations. Then a post like this comes from a union employee. LoL. People please research shop around. A man with soft hands is a sales man in the hvac ele or plumbing trade. A good old fashion hand shake tells allot and can save you allot. Good install of equipment is not done by people with soft hands. Think about it .
