A momentous occasion to be shared by our community! We are fortunate the Dodge's Opera House, current Montello Theater is still in existence today! Our gratitude to the current owners/operators for preserving our historical town's heritage.
Placed directly across the street, State Road 23 from Daggett Memorial Park, depicting more of Montello's rich history of its granite quarry.

🎶 BIG NEWS, MONTELLO! 🎶

This is something I’ve been quietly working on for a little while now, and I’m so excited to finally announce one of the new upcoming events coming to the Montello Theater - with even more to come, so stay tuned!

We are incredibly excited to announce that award-winning singer/songwriter Sam Ness will be performing LIVE at the Montello Theater on Thursday, June 25th at 7:00 PM!

This special Listening Room Concert will feature songs from Sam’s newest album “Of Heart and Home”, showcasing his powerful storytelling, heartfelt lyrics, and incredible vocal talent. Sam was named the 2025 Wisconsin Area Music Industry Folk Performer of the Year and has won 15 Madison Area Music Awards!

Joining him will be special guest and local folk artist Bert Koelbl opening the evening!

Kids 12 & Under: $8

This will be our FIRST official live music event at the Montello Theater as we continue bringing this historic venue back to life! For those who may not know, back in the early days when the Montello Theater operated as an opera house, it hosted live music, performances, graduations, speakers, wrestling matches, and community gatherings. To see live entertainment returning to this building again is incredibly special.

All ticket sales and concessions from the evening will directly support the continued restoration and future of the Montello Theater.

Seats will be limited for this event, so once tickets go on sale be sure to grab yours early before they’re gone!
