Tonight's dinner included shaved tri-tip.... I haven't used my deli slicer in so long, the wheel on the platform was stiff and stuck so I had problems pushing it back and forth. Luckily I got it going and it worked out fine. One of the reasons I never use it is because how hard it is to clean. The blade is so freaking sharp, it's scary 😳

My Not-So-Secret Sauce..... It's a very close mimic of In-N-Out, not quite but close. I use it on burgers and animal style fries, plain fries, even a good veggie platter tastes great with it.

1 cup mayo
6 tbsp ketchup
1/4 cup sweet relish (has to be sweet!)
2 tsp yellow mustard
2 tsp white vinegar
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper

Mix well and chill at least 30 minutes before use. It makes about 2 cups and will last in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Tonight Hubby and I decided to take a short nap on the couch after the movie but the girls were still watching TV. I told them that after 1 episode they needed to wake me up (so 30 minutes).... Natalie decided to wake me up the same way she use to wake Kylie up when she was little... It's become a family tradition ......

When she was maybe 2-3, they both were OBSESSED with Frozen. They literally went as Anna and Elsa 2 Halloweens in a row. So, all my mommas should remember how Anna woke Elsa up to build Olaf......

Well, for basically Kylie's entire 2nd grade year, Natalie would wake her up by physically laying on top of Kylie and saying "Kylie, the sky's away, so I'm away.... Do you wanna be a man?" 😭🤣

Ever since then, it's become our family way of waking anyone up 🤣🤣🤣

So tonight, Natalie laid on top of me and asked me if I want to be a man..... I forced her to stay there long enough for a pic so I could tell the story. It's one of my favorites💕 👍🤣👏👏👏

Tonight we had chili dogs to keep it simpler, and then rewatched the last Spiderman movie. Hopefully we can find some time this long weekend to go see the new one.

The plan is to swim if it's warm enough, BBQ for sure, and then watch movies and chill together as a fam. This is our last long weekend before Thanksgiving so we're hoping to go big. Maybe we'll even fit in some Mario Party or Mario Kart.... Crossing my fingers 🤣👍

Dinner last night.... Homemade Creamed Chipped Beef, aka S.O.S, aka Same Old S**t. But damn it's so good and comforting 🤤

Creamed Chipped Beef dates back from the late 1800s and was popularized during the World Wars. It usually uses dried beef and cream, and is traditionally served over toast, making it shelf stable and cheap, which was perfect for traveling soldiers.

I never had it before my husband introduced me to the frozen ones. His grandpa was military and this was a staple in their house when he was growing up. After a few times of having it, I decided "Ya know what? I can do it better", so I did.

I always make a giant batch, and we have it with rice usually and a veggie...and then have it for breakfast over an english muffin, and a side of eggs. So bomb.... And cheap.

I'll show you how I made it once I fix my Capcut 🙌👏👏👏
