I’ll be happy to help with any and all planting projects.

If you have a tree or shrub planting project in mind, February is a good time to get started. During this time, the ground is beginning to soften and spring is almost underway. Trees and shrubs are dormant during this time, meaning buds have not broken just yet, making it an optimal time to plant between now and April.

The Kentucky Division of Forestry has yearly seedling sales and are shipping to landowners between now through April. Check out what is in stock at https://secure2.kentucky.gov/InventoryServices/Forestry/Seedlings. Shrub variety is fairly limited, so if that is what you are aiming for, consider checking out some of the other native nurseries in the state: https://www.kynativeplants.com/post/kentucky-native-plant-suppliers.
