Remember that new corn planter that was in my stories last week? 🌱 Here’s some more footage of it in action!

One of the coolest things about this planter is that it uses different plates for different crops, so we can switch things out depending on what we’re planting. Right now we’ve got plates for beans, peas, red beets, lettuce, and turnips.

We don’t have a plate for pumpkins yet though, so those will still be getting planted the old fashioned way — by hand 🎃

It’s always fun finding ways to make planting season a little more efficient while still keeping things hands-on around here

We’ve been in the garden a lot lately 🌱 But while we’ve been busy outside, we’ve also been giving some attention to one of our favorite houseplants — our mother aloe plant!

She had a couple healthy pups ready to separate, and we were able to carefully pull off two baby aloe plants. Right now we’re getting them settled in, watching them root and thrive, and if all goes well they’ll hopefully be available for purchase soon 💚

There’s something so rewarding about propagating plants and getting to share them with others. Stay tuned for updates on these little guys!

Creating systems has been one of the biggest ways I keep both our home and Rindler Homestead running smoothly.

Every year, usually around New Year and during Lent, I try to implement one new system that helps simplify life.

It started with simple things like no dishes in the sink before bed. Then came the mindset shifts: “if it takes 5 minutes, do it now” and “don’t put it down, put it away.” Add in the 24-hour laundry rule, and little by little, those systems started creating more peace and less chaos.

This year, I’m focusing on our back stock system for Rindler Homestead.

At the start of the year, the goal was keeping our bulk bins full. Now, I’m building a better system behind the scenes so we can restock our retail locations faster and more efficiently.

The goal? When a restock request comes in, we can have it fulfilled within 48 hours.

Small systems may not look exciting, but they create the foundation for growth—at home, on the homestead, and in business.

Last Saturday was the St. Mary’s Catholic School Annual Dinner and Auction Fundraiser and we had the honor of donating a Whole Home Bundle for the silent and live auctions. 🤍

Being able to give back and support organizations like St. Mary’s as they raise funds for their students and community is truly one of the greatest highlights of running Rindler Homestead.

We’re so grateful to be a small part of something that makes such a big impact ✨
