Top 5 carpet cleaning horror stories according to a professional carpet cleaner 💀😂

1. Gas prices. Not just for the van… but the truck mount too.
Fuel prices increasing hurts BAD. We don’t just need fuel to drive to your property… our truck mount requires fuel while we’re actively cleaning too 😭 So when gas prices rise, our operating costs basically get hit twice.
2. Walking into a house with piles of cat f***s covered in baking soda like that somehow solved the issue.
Listen… we completely understand pet accidents happen and we’re happy to professionally treat stains and odors. But picking up piles of cat f***s is not in the job description 😭 And somehow the baking soda usually just makes the situation even worse.
3. Carpet cleaned with laundry detergent for the last 5 years.
Laundry detergent leaves behind heavy sticky residue that attracts dirt like CRAZY. So the carpet gets dirtier faster and faster over time. By the time we get there, it usually feels crunchy and looks dull. Not to mention the INSANE amount of foam it creates during extraction! Sometimes it gets so bad we literally have to use defoamer just to break down all the suds.
4. Hearing “I always use my Green Machine.”
They may suffice in a pinch for a spill, but these machines leave behind WAY too much moisture, don’t have the power to properly extract, and usually leave excessive soap residue behind 👀 We actually bought one recently to test it out and honestly… they were even worse than we remembered 😭
5. Carpet. In. The. Bathroom.
Humidity + moisture + carpet around toilets is genuinely horrifying from a cleaning perspective 💀 Enough said.

People think carpet cleaning is just satisfying before & after videos until you actually work in the industry 😂

Yesterday we got locked out of our vehicle at the park with our kids, including a baby, and all of our essentials were left inside our vehicle. It was obviously less than ideal 🥴

Marcus with OPlockandkeys came out right away and got us back in quickly. Super polite and very fairly priced.

While we can guarantee your space will be thoroughly and professionally cleaned, we cannot guarantee every stain will be removed. Any company promising 100% stain removal is either misinformed… or not being honest. 🧐

Some stains are truly permanent, including:
• 🚫 Bleach spots
• 🎨 Dye transfer
• ✒️ Certain inks or paints
• 🧪 Chemical damage that alters the carpet fibers

Other stains become permanent due to:
• ⏳ How long they’ve been sitting
• 🧵 The type of carpet fiber

• 🧽 Another cleaner treating it incorrectly
