Pitaya, also known as dragon fruit, is a vibrant, tropical fruit from a cactus, with a mild, sweet taste similar to a kiwi and pear, and a texture with tiny black seeds. It's rich in fiber, antioxidants, magnesium, and Vitamin C, supporting gut health, immunity, and heart health. The edible white or red flesh is eaten raw, while the scaly, leathery skin is not.

Gaura is a dainty Texas native that packs a punch in a cute and wispy way 😍🤣💪 Sun loving, semi drought tolerant, perennial and deer resistant.... what's not to love? Oh and did we say it was Native?? Oh yes we did! The flowers look similar to little butterflies blowing in the wind and they stay in bloom most of the summer. They are great for our native pollinators and look lovely in most settings. We have 3 different varieties in stock at the moment.

One of our favs!! Calliandra aka powder puff trees are similar to mimosa trees but cuter 😍

This pretty baby thrives in our hot Texas sun and is a buffet for the nectar loving pollinators. They bloom all summer as long as they are taken care of properly and if you give them protection in the colder winters, you can have them showing off in your yard for many years. We currently have a few single trunk trees in stock but it's natural form is a shrubby wispy bush. It has been known to come back from root in our area after a freeze, but I would not count on it and take precautions to protect it in the cold as much as possible if you want to keep it around long term.... especially the younger more fragile ones.

We've already sold a few but have a couple still left in stock so hurry before their all gone! It's always a beautiful day at Plant Spot ... we will be open until 5 today. We hope to see you soon 💚
