JD James, Inc. is a well-respected Architectural Millwork Contractor providing full-scale millwork services to the commercial construction industry that has operated in the Panhandle of Florida and South Georgia for over 20 years. We are presently seeking a Job Site Millwork Installation Supervisor to lead our internal installation crew members and our trusted sub-contractors through the completion of high end custom commercial millwork projects. This position includes a company provided vehicle for travel.
The ideal candidate will be skillful in:
• Evaluating Architectural, Interior Design, and Shop Drawing documents
• Directing our team in installation of various, and sometimes complex, millwork components
• Creating digital daily project reports and time sheets
• Communicating with general contractors, our project management, and office administrators
Responsibilities
• Efficiently direct and coordinate product delivery, offload, condition, and distribution
• Accurately interpret drawings
• Coordinate installation crews for the most efficient schedule
• Quality control
• Document daily progress reports, time sheets, job site directives, change orders, and work delays
• Coordinate the installation schedule with General Contractor and our Project Manager
Qualifications
• Strong plan and specification reading, some computer skills are needed but will train the right candidate.
• Must have strong experience in commercial millwork installation
• Working superintendents will be compensated higher but not required
Our company offices are located in Monticello, Florida, but this position will be 90% located at job site locations, so living outside the Monticello area may be accommodated.

JD James, Inc. owner, J.D. James, is a Region 2 Cleanup and Recovery Coordinator with Florida Baptist Disaster Relief. He recently led a team to Kentucky for cleanup efforts after July's flooding. Please join us in prayers for all those affected by the flooding and everyone working to clean up and recover from the disaster.

-Willing to learn new skills and improve on current skills
-Experience with specialized wood working tools.
-Able to install cabinetry, standing & running trim, wall panels, etc.
-Able to read architectural and shop drawings.
-Reliable transportation.
-Able to be out of travel out of town up to 2 weeks per trip.
