We have also worked on projects at Main Street Middle School. We love helping schools create safe, beautiful, and functional spaces for their students.

We were honored to receive a 75 Year Award from AIA Vermont for The Rock of Ages Visitor Center, completed in 2002 for the Rock Of Ages Granite Quarry Corporation in Graniteville, Vermont. 11 notable projects from the past 75 years were selected by a jury to receive this award, celebrating Vermont’s architectural design excellence in honor of AIA Vermont 's 75th year anniversary. We are honored to have received the Citation Award in the Commercial/Institutional/Multi-Family/Mixed-Use category for Bellows Falls Garage in Bellows Falls, VT, at this year’s AIA Vermont annual awards. The recently completed Bellows Falls Garage project was originally conceived by Windham & Windsor Housing Trust as the adaptive reuse of an historic 1920s industrial building in downtown Bellows Falls to create much needed affordable housing, as well as commercial space. “The Nest” at 79 Pine in Burlington is complete! The 9 story, 49 unit transit oriented building reinforces the city’s goal for achieving high density, mixed income housing downtown. Elements that foster wellbeing include not only the views from the apartments of the lake, mountains, and city, but also many shared spaces and resources for the building’s community. These include a rooftop indoor / outdoor lounge and kitchen, a work / conference and media room, a fitness center, and a bike maintenance pod adjacent to bike parking.

Congratulations to Twin Pines Housing Trust, Evernorth, Naylor Breen Construction, Sellers Treybull Engineers, Engineering Ventures and our design studio at gbA Architecture & Planning for nearing the finish line to complete Phase II of this Affordable Housing project in White River Junction. This project provides an additional 17 residential units to the site including 8 bedroom flats and 9 townhouses. The building envelope exceeds Passive House Standards. Its wonderful news to hear that the AAS Performing and Visual Arts Center achieved LEED Gold before the holidays! Congratulations to the Anglo American School of Sofia who had the vision to make this Arts Center a healthy and sustainable place for students and staff to learn and create. Congratulations to the rest of the team as well: BHP who coordinated the design through construction, Ward Miller Consulting who navigated a LEED Gold Building process in Bulgaria, Inos Construction who led construction responsibly, our many other local designers and consultants for adhering to a strict process, and, of coarse, our talented team at gbA Architecture & Planning. We are extremely grateful for being part of this great project. Happy Holidays everyone!

Great to see the building footprint at both the Wilder and Wentworth projects yesterday. These are two much needed affordable housing projects in the White River Junction area. Thanks to Twin Pines And EverNorth (Housing Vermont) for making this project a reality and Naylor and Breen for a great collaborative design and construction process.
