Seeds of sustenance.
In the depths of winter our diet is much more focused on pulses and grains. The “staple” food crops provide the majority of the calories of our diets. These crop are very resistance often having good drought tolerance.

We are excited to be adding more and more to our offering of staple crops every year. Also it seems you’re all excited to grow them! We are committed to getting often rare grains and pulses out there so you all can help adapt them to your varied conditions.

It is with a loss for words that I share of the death of one of my brothers in this work. Casey Piscura of Wild Mountain Seeds.

Casey was a gift to this world and an inspiration to me personally in this work. I was inspired by his daily commitment to the stewardship of seed and commitment to regenerative practices. I always left him feeling like I learned something new or was able to see a farming practice in a new light. His humility, presence, intuition, skill, and kindness mixed with a childlike passion is what I will never forget. These are the qualities that really stayed with me every time I had the chance to see him. He will be sorely missed.

Rest in peace, Casey 🕊️

Our last big push for the 2024 season! 💪💪💪

We snuck our garlic in an a brief window November 15! 😅😅😅Just under the wire, before another snow storm hit.

What a sweet group of badass women! So lucky to have these ladies this summer for the 2024 field season. Julia even made it out and crushed it at 37 weeks pregnant. 😍
