Maglocks sound like a strong option…

Until the power goes out.

Because when that happens, the door unlocks.

No power = no security.

That is a big deal, especially on exterior doors.

There is a place for maglocks, but you have to understand the risk before you install them.

This is why security is not about picking one thing…

It is about choosing the RIGHT thing for your situation.

But what about the window next to it?

A lot of people think fobs need batteries.

They don’t.

Which means your fob can last a long time without maintenance.
