Another part of the project cleaned up and built to last 💪

We uncovered some serious rot underneath this deck—caused by improper flashing from a remodel about 15 years ago. Moisture got trapped where it shouldn’t have, and over time it took its toll.

We removed all the damaged material and rebuilt the area properly. Everything is now solid, secure, and built the right way so this new deck setup should last 30+ years.

Bonus: the door is working like it should again 👍

We were also able to get the siding patched back in and the ledger board set today. More pictures coming Monday showing the progress.

If you’ve got a deck or exterior issue you’re unsure about, it’s always better to catch it early before it turns into something bigger.
