Spectacular Painting is a full-service painting and decorating contractor, meaning we are experienced not only in all standard painting procedures, but we offer numerous custom finish options, not directly offered by many general painting contractors. The owner is trained not only in historic restoration and preservation work, but trained in decorative finishing, as well as staining and varnishing, blending in older wood finishes with new, as is sometimes required in older home interiors with newly-built additions. It's not always about "paint first" either.. Sometimes it's better to replace old wood (such as on exterior house trim) before undergoing finish painting procedures. There's also options available to clients for non-wood materials such as Azek, which won't rot, is stable and receives paint well. If we see wood replacement as necessary we will recommend it prior to painting, rather than lead you into higher expenses later.. or "putting the cart before the horse".. We will not skip the prep work. Preparation is key to a great looking, long lasting paint job. We scrape, sand, fill and caulk until the surface is ready to accept top coats. High quality primers are used always, and each coat (from primer to final coat) is checked for quality and consistency. We will not disrespect you or your property in any way. The utmost care is taken when working in your house or anywhere on your property. Areas that are not being painted will be properly protected and the appropriate steps taken to protect all furniture, floors, appliances, plants, vehicles, pets, neighbors and anything else that should not be painted. We will not “invade” your personal space. Areas we are not painting are considered off-limits. If we’re not painting it, we have no need to be there. We will not use your bathrooms without your permission, and if we do get your permission, we will not leave a mess, and even bring our own towels so we don’t dirty yours. We will not surprise you with extra or hidden costs. Once we have presented our proposal to you, and you have agreed to the price, that’s it! From that point forward we get the job done based on your expectations as outlined in our proposal and contract. Any changes to the specs of the job will be agreed to in writing by both parties via a work change order. We try to be as accurate as possible when we do our estimate so that all parties involved can be reasonably assured there will be no surprises.
