Today we completed two jobs. One went smoothly, and one didnât go the way we expect of ourselves.
At Skedaddle On Demand Delivery, we take professionalism seriouslyâevery call, every text, every doorstep interaction, every single day. We also believe in being honest: weâre human, and sometimes we make mistakes. What matters most is what we do next.
On one of todayâs deliveries, we accidentally left behind a small item at the customerâs home. Thatâs on us. It shouldnât have happened, and we apologized as soon as we realized it. We immediately offered to come back and correct it, because thatâs what accountability looks like. In this case, the customer chose not to have us returnâand we respect that decision.
Our company isnât built on claiming perfection. Itâs built on doing the job the right way, treating people with respect, and going above and beyond when something needs to be corrected. Thatâs the standard we hold ourselves to, and thatâs the standard our customers deserve.
I also want to say this plainly: tough days donât just âroll offâ for us. They affect our whole teamâespecially me as the owner and CEOâbecause we care deeply about our reputation and the people we serve. We take pride in what we do, and when something doesnât land the way we intended, we feel it. Then we get back to work, tighten the process, and keep showing up with integrity.
