Another exceptional outdoor living project is complete in The Peninsula of Cornelius, NC.
Designed as a true backyard resort, this custom estate seamlessly blends luxury, functionality, and timeless design to create an outdoor space that is equally suited for entertaining guests or enjoying a quiet evening at home.
At the heart of the project is a custom concrete swimming pool featuring a flush spa positioned within the pool itself. Floating stepping stones span the expansive tanning ledge, creating a dramatic architectural feature while providing access to the spa. Fire and water bowls frame the pool, adding movement, warmth, and an unforgettable evening atmosphere.
This pool is equipped with a fully integrated smart automation system, allowing the homeowner to control the spa, heating, color-changing LED lighting, fire and water features, and the in-floor cleaning system directly from their smartphone. The in-floor cleaning system keeps the pool exceptionally clean while minimizing maintenance.
Every finish was carefully selected to complement the home’s architecture. The pool features Key West Marina 6”x6” waterline tile, an Aqua White mini pebble interior finish, and Diana Royale leathered marble coping, which continues seamlessly into the lower pool deck for a sophisticated, cohesive appearance.
The outdoor living space extends beyond the pool with a two-tier patio designed for entertaining. The upper terrace features Techo-Bloc Westmount pavers in Chestnut Brown installed in a classic herringbone pattern beneath a custom-built pergola complete with electrical for lighting and ceiling fans.
The custom outdoor kitchen is equally impressive, featuring Taj Mahal quartzite countertops, custom tile detailing, a Coyote grill and refrigerator, Napoleon grill, outdoor sink, ice maker, trash and storage cabinetry, and generous bar seating with ample preparation space. A second custom pergola completes the outdoor kitchen, creating a comfortable gathering place throughout the year.
To finish the space, a custom four-foot fire pit provides the perfect setting to relax poolside long after the sun goes down.
