Baby peeps are good peeps. Especially when Momma left this Lil one (freshly hatched) to go chase her other two chicks who escaped the nesting box. Found this one barley hanging on. A little encouragement and some nice heat, she's perked up.

Sadly I had to say good bye this morning to one of the OGs. It was the humane thing to do. This is the hard part of it all. Having to make the call for an animal who cant speak. But they show you in other ways.
I discovered she had a pretty bad wound hidden and the infection was to much. My guess is it was a racoon who took a swip at her.

One of my OG chickens is sick. I thought ahe was a gonner today but she's a fighter. So I will fight for her. Currently ...
