Most people see the finished dock, the calm water, and the sunset views.
What they donāt see is what it takes to build it.
Working on the water means hauling materials where trucks canāt go, battling changing lake levels, dealing with wind, waves, heat, mud, and weather that can change in minutes. Every board, every tool, and every piece of equipment takes more effort than it would on dry land.
Itās not the easiest work.
But itās hard to complain when your office overlooks a lake instead of a parking lot.
Thereās something rewarding about building a structure that families will enjoy for decades. From morning fishing trips to evening boat rides and countless memories in between, these projects become part of peopleās lives long after weāre gone.
The challenges are real, but so are the rewards.
At the end of the day, weāll take a tough day on the water over a day in a cubicle every time.
