We began a Dog Trot Log Cabin today on a beautiful 100 acre plantation in Chester, SC. The 2 cabins will be built beside an 8 acre pond on the property in order to create a wedding venue.

We worked all day on “The Honey Hog Restaurant” in Morganton, NC which will open soon. We supplied all the reclaimed barnwood, built all the doors, built all the counter tops and booths and wrapped them in reclaimed barnwood. We’re getting close to wrapping this project up.

The year was 1971. I had a 1965 Chevy SS, I got caught drag racing by the local Police Department. Good news is they didn’t arrest me, bad news is my father was the Police Chief. He met me at home and cut my drivers license up with a pair of scissors and revoked my drivers license and then sold my ‘65. 40 years later in 2011 and shortly after my retirement as Burke County, NC Sheriff I found this beauty and it will be mine forever. Love my ‘65!!!!!!
