(6-12-26) POV: I said, "We have Subway at home."..and you're actually excited about it! 🥪

Today's kitchen experiment was a giant Garlic & Herb Italian Loaf topped with shredded cheese and baked until golden brown.

Then we sliced it in half and loaded it up with oven-roasted turkey, pepperoni, Tillamook cheddar, fresh cucumber, tomato, Duke's mayo, and yellow mustard for a BIG sandwich dinner on a hot summer day.

One of my favorite parts of running Wolf Cottage Baking is that not every bake has to be for sale. Sometimes it's just testing ideas, feeding the family, and seeing what happens when I start throwing together flavors that sound good in my head.

This loaf turned out soft enough for sandwiches, sturdy enough to hold a mountain of fillings, and packed with garlic and herb flavor all the way through.

No fancy food styling. No professional kitchen. Just a home baker making dinner and accidentally creating a sandwich that needed two hands and several napkins. 😂

Friends, neighbors, and bread lovers!
I'm keeping an eye on this weekend's forecast, and it's looking like we might be dealing with some thunderstorms on Saturday. 🌧️⚡

Rather than getting caught in bad weather at the market, I'm considering doing a Pre-Ordered Bread & Bakes Drop with pickup right here at 305 Patton St. instead.

Before I make any decisions, I'd love to hear from y'all!

If enough folks are interested, I'll put together a menu and open ordering later this evening. This would help me bake exactly what people want while avoiding any weather-related surprises!
