We are making the sad announcement that we will not be open this season. However we are excited to say it is because we will be tending to a different type of nursery this year!!! We are expecting our first child 💕 😊

My Limelight hydrangeas are just starting to turn pink with our lower morning temps! Limelight Hydrangea flowers start off a lime green color, which is a perfect accent for hot summer days. As the blooms age, they turn to hues of cream, pink, red and burgundy.

One of my favorite house plants❤️ Tradescantia zebrina, formerly known as Zebrina pendula, is a species of spiderwort more commonly known as an inchplant or wandering jew. The dark purple color alongside the silver green in the leaves is beautiful!!!

We started a major landscaping project this weekend!! Adding lots of privacy screen trees and putting a large fence for our fur babies! In Bloom Nursery will look very different next spring 😊

Watch this hummingbird moth enjoy my Raspberry Wine Bee Balm!! 🥰

Perhaps one of the most delightful insect visitors to your garden is the hummingbird moth. Several species of the genus Hemaris deserve this name and for very good reason. They fly and move just like hummingbirds.

Like them, they can remain suspended in the air in front of a flower while they unfurl their long tongues and insert them in flowers to sip their nectar. They even emit an audible hum like hummingbirds. Quite often inexperienced garden visitors notice what they think is a tiny hummingbird fleeting among flowers such as bee balm (Monarda).
