❄️ Freeze Warning – Be Prepared ❄️

With winter weather coming in, now is the time to protect your plumbing.

✅ I have freeze mizers available and can install them on outside spigots quickly.
They automatically drip when temperatures drop to help prevent frozen or burst pipes.

Non frost-free outdoor faucets need a freeze mizer installed during freezes

What everyone should do before the freeze

• Disconnect all hoses from outdoor faucets
• Leave cabinet doors open under sinks on exterior walls
• When dripping faucets, drip BOTH hot and cold. A lot of people only drip one side — both lines can freeze.
• Faucets not on an exterior wall usually do not need to be dripped if they’re on a slab or a well-insulated crawl space.
• If your washing machine connections are on an exterior wall, unhook the hoses and drip both hot and cold — this is one of the most common places I see pipes freeze and bust.
• Make sure crawl space vents are closed. If they don’t close, cardboard placed in front of them can help block cold air.

If you need freeze mizers installed or have questions about protecting your pipes, feel free to message or call.

If your water heater is 8–10 years old, it’s living on borrowed time.

We are happy to announce that after a 4 year hiatus, Gen-Co Plumbing is back under a new name GenCo and Sons Plumbing.

Dean Gentry originally started Gen-Co in 2005. In 2009, he invited his son in law Tim Wood to join him after he returned from a year long deployment in Iraq. Tim and Dean worked together for the next 9 years, where they serviced a large number of residential and commercial clients in the Conway County area. Dean retired in 2018 and Tim continued to run the company until 2020 when he accepted a full-time position at Lonoke Baptist Church as the Children's Pastor, (he had served in this position in a part time basis for the previous 6 years). Tim tried to keep the company going as a part time gig but when it started affecting his ministry, he made the difficult decision to shut it down in 2021.

Tim's oldest son Isaac rode with him from the age of 6 every Friday on “Ride with Dad Fridays”. Being a Homeschooler it was easy to fit this into his weekly curriculum. Through these trips, he learned the value of hard work, how to talk to customers, and he developed a love of repair services. After highschool, Isaac went to Williams Baptist University on a basketball Scholarship but he later decided that college wasn't for him and that he wanted to enter the workforce.

After reaching several dead ends, his grandfather Dean asked Isaac if he would be interested in getting into the family business as a plumber. He offered to come out of retirement to help Isaac get into the trade and apprentice under him. Isaac prayed about it and felt that this was the direction that the Lord was leading him and GenCo and Sons Plumbing was born.

Isaac is excited to serve the people of this community in this new endeavor, while being able to work with his grandfather every day. His father Tim will also assist him on days that he's not working at the church.

This family business looks forward to meeting all of your plumbing needs!
