Another beautiful finish from Finishing Touches LLC!

We recently completed this bathroom flooring installation and it turned out great!

We installed a v***r and sound-dampening barrier before laying down luxury vinyl plank flooring, carefully matched to the existing LVP throughout the main level for a seamless, cohesive look.

Baseboards are trimmed out and everything is prepped and ready for paint — the final touch that will bring the whole space together!

Mid-Project Update — This One's Been a Journey!

Sometimes what looks like a simple flooring job turns into something much bigger — and that's exactly what happened this week.

When we pulled up the old tile and durock cement board, we uncovered extensive water damage to the subfloor hiding underneath. No shortcuts here. We removed all the damaged subfloor, installed new material, and got everything properly leveled before anything else moves forward.

Now we're in a 3-day cure window ⏳ — and when we return, here's what's coming:

✅ Full waterproofing of the entire area

✅ V***r barrier + sound-dampening underlayment

✅ New LVP flooring to match the rest of the home — so the whole house flows seamlessly

✅ Fresh baseboards to tie it all together

These floors were outdated and showing their age — so we gave them a complete transformation from the ground up.

Before laying a single plank, we installed a v***r barrier and sound-dampening underlayment throughout the rooms, giving this home a solid, quiet, moisture-protected foundation. From there, we expertly installed waterproof LVP flooring that's as durable as it is beautiful — family-friendly, easy to maintain, and built to last.

We're wrapping up next week with transition strips and baseboards to give every room that clean, finished look that ties it all together.

We were brought in to fully revitalize a living space that had seen years of family life — and it showed. Damaged walls, worn trim, and a color scheme that had run its course.

Here's what we tackled:
✅ Installed new paneling and trim work

✅ Full color change to Edgecomb Gray

✅ Sprayed all trim and paneling for a clean, professional finish

🪣 Plaster Wall Crack Repair — Every crack in the kitchen's plaster walls was professionally repaired before a single drop of paint was applied.

🖌️ Oil-Based Primer — All surfaces were sealed with an oil-based primer to ensure maximum adhesion and a lasting finish.

🎨 Ceiling & Walls — Two coats of Clark & Kensington flat white ceiling paint overhead, and a warm, inviting Almond Latte in Benjamin Moore on the walls.

🪚 Built-In Cabinet Restoration — Wood-filled screw holes, primed, and finished with two coats of Clark & Kensington trim & cabinet paint for a crisp, like-new look.

This caulking project is a great example of the preventative craftsmanship we take pride in at Finishing Touches LLC. We expertly removed all of the old, failing caulk — which had also developed mold — ensuring every compromised area was fully cleared before moving forward. Fresh, appropriate caulking was then precisely applied throughout, creating a clean, watertight seal that directs moisture exactly where it belongs and protects the surrounding surfaces from future damage.

It may seem like a small detail, but proper caulking is one of the most important lines of defense in any bathroom. Done right, it extends the life of the space and prevents costly repairs down the road. This is the level of care and attention we bring to every project, no matter the size.

Following thorough water and mold remediation, we pieced in new ceiling tiles with precision — seamlessly matching the existing layout for a clean, uniform finish. The new tiles have been properly prepared and are ready to receive primer and paint, ensuring a fully cohesive and finished look throughout the entire ceiling.

We then moved forward with the installation of custom wood paneling and trim, work that requires a skilled eye and exacting standards to achieve truly polished results. Prior to painting, all concrete surfaces were treated with a professional-grade conditioning sealant, an essential step in our preparation process that ensures superior adhesion and lasting moisture protection.
