Asheville is hosting its fifth Maker Faire on April 5, 2025 at the AB Tech Conference Center!

Moving a workshop is no small feat, and we could use a hand from our amazing community! 🛠️📦
Morristown Makers is moving! To make sure all of our tools, hardware, and smaller shop essentials make it to our new home safely, we are looking for donations of plastic storage totes.
Here is what we’re looking for:

Any size or shape!

Lids: Totes with lids are fantastic for stacking, but we will happily take ones without lids as well.

These will be used to organize and transport the thousands of bits, bolts, and gadgets that make our makerspace run.
If you have any extra totes taking up space in your garage or attic, we would love to put them to good use!

Morristown Makers Is Moving! We wanted to share an important update with our community: Morristown Makers will be moving out of our current location by January 31. We don’t yet know where our new home will be, but we’re actively searching and are hopeful about what’s ahead. The good news? Morristown Makers Is Moving!
We wanted to share an important update with our community: Morristown Makers will be moving out of our current location by January 31.

While we don’t yet know where our new home will be, we’re actively searching and are hopeful about what’s ahead.

The good news?
We’re still open on Tuesday evenings, and we’d love for you to come by, visit, and spend time with us during this transition.

As we make this move, there may be a short period where our tools need to go into storage while we secure a new space. We’ll share updates as soon as we have more information.

How you can help:

Check out what Jason’s been up to.

Instead of relying on a traditional lathe, he built a custom router jig to turn this drum shell. While a lathe is great, Jason’s DIY setup allows for extreme precision, letting him dial in the exact dimensions of the shell with professional-grade accuracy, although he gets a bit messy with wood chips.

It’s a perfect example of: "If the tool doesn't exist (or do exactly what you want), build it yourself."
Great work, Jason! We can't wait to hear how this drum project sounds once it’s finished. 🎶
