This custom home, with the jewel-box entry room, has been really fun to work on. We had a great corner lot we wanted to maximize and also lend privacy to the backyard, while not making square footage too huge.
From the start, we had the idea to do one tall, brick gable on the front and it all went from there!

This charming, and also stately, English manor style home is currently under construction on a picturesque rural lot.

It was a joy throughout the process to carry out our clients desire for something that fit their large family, but also stay true to an old world look.

On the interiors, one unique feature is a two sided wall of interior windows to form their den (that we’re calling The Snug) situated off the kitchen.

As always, we used 3D modeling and renderings all the way through to work out details back and forth and help our clients visualize the house inside and out, from every angle. So very valuable.

The Logos School Lewis building is complete! Upper secondary students had their first day of classes there this morning. The project has been particularly close to us at Harby Points as is our alma mater. The plans we have developed for the entire site will take some time to bring to fruition with gyms, more academic buildings and an admin building coming, Lord willing, in the not so distant future. But for now we are so thankful to Logos, particularly for dedication to quality and classical architecture and who brought this building to completion.

It’s one thing to conceptualize, then design and render what it could look like (just a year ago!) and it’s another thing to make it happen which was a big team effort of which we were honored to be a small part.

Over the weekend there was a cleaning day to prep for the first day of school and some of our kids got to be involved, which was a lot of fun.

Today we presented the exterior design of this sprawling mountain ranch home on Coeur d’Alene Lake. We love our client’s unique vision for this property and it’s the sort of challenge we love to work on!

Happy 4th of July! Lots of happenings lately. It was a beautiful day to do a walk through of 4 houses (and 1 Commons building-the white brick one) that are under construction. 5 more of our houses will start shortly. Things are moving out there!

It has been a great joy to see the school campus we designed begin to take shape. The first academic building aka “Lewis” is underway. Today we worked on sourcing the exact brick color we’ve been envisioning. Cornice details are being finalized and windows installed!

Here is a look at one of our latest custom homes! Harby + Points is designing this for a beautiful property in Athol, Idaho. We started with the site plan phase to explore options where the house, garage and shop would be placed in relation to the meadow, forest and creek.

For the home itself, they wanted a large front porch to sit on and look across their south facing meadow towards the mountains. They requested something that felt cozy but also elegant, lots of windows and stone!

At the beginning of the project, the client hired an interior designer but after the designer saw our interior modeling and renders, she said they were so well done there wasn’t a ton left to do. So kind.💥
We strive to go above and beyond and make our homes excellent inside and out.

New pocket neighborhood coming to Spokane Valley! Harby + Points was hired to develop the site plan and homes for this 4 acres plot.
Our client saw some of our previous unique development work and wants to make sure this site has that same “cool factor” while maximizing high density. Can’t wait!

We are a growing architectural design firm who specializes in high-end custom homes and neighborhood developments. We have high-end custom homes across the northwest underway and neighborhood developments of varying sizes nationally.

We are looking for an experienced construction document specialist to join our 3 person team. This person needs to have:

    ⁃    Architecture experience and/or construction experience.
    ⁃    Understand design details, methods and codes
    ⁃    Strong technical skills and computer proficiency
    ⁃    Keen eye for design.
    ⁃    Abilities to stay organized and work independently
    ⁃    Good communication skills

    ⁃    Bonus points if you know Chief Architect Software. Plans will need to be drawn with this software and we are willing to train, if necessary.
    ⁃    Part time-3/4 time position
    ⁃    Competitive pay DOE
