An update

This empty spot where my powder coating ovens stood will soon be filled. Just heard from my vendor that my new oven should be shipped out in a couple of weeks. Once delivered there will be some assembly involved as well as utility hookups and racks built. I'm hoping to be back up and running by the end of April. If I've spoken with you the last several weeks about powder coating projects I'll be reaching out once things become more clear. Thanks for your patience.

Coming down to the end of 2025 and I wanted to take a moment to thank all of my customers. I've had a good year and I truly appreciate your support.

Also I wanted to pass along some information about what's going on in the shop. A good commercial customer has decided to move their powder coating in house. After the beginning of the year they will be purchasing my current equipment (ovens, etc) and moving it to their location. To be clear...I AM NOT SHUTTERING THE POWDER COATING BUSINESS. My plan is to downsize while retooling as I likely won't be doing large commercial/industrial jobs going forward. This will also possibly afford me an opportunity to add some other services I initially wanted to have in conjunction with powder coating when I started this business almost 10 years ago.

In the meantime there is an 8 to 12 week lead time on new ovens and other equipment. During this transition period I won't be able to coat anything that won't fit into a kitchen sized oven. Also, to those that have asked, the only reason I took my sign down is because it was right where the city/rural water main was being placed. It...or some sort of sign...will be put back up once I get the yard repaired.

The black rustic look is 🔥 right now but it's also 🔥 on your bum in this blazing 🔥 weather. My customer (my aunt Judy McCaw Dunkel) wanted something a little more 😎 than the black/bronze original finish on this patio set. We went with Columbia Coatings, LLC Dirty Sand Granite. Dirty Sand Granite is a light tan speckled and textured powder coating that emulates the finish of real stone. The light color also keeps the temps down adding a degree of safety especially if you have little ones running around. Many, many more colors and options available. Contact me for details.

Finished up the project for a good customer's Can-Am Off-Road Outlander 4 wheeler. His rig was black and Can Am Manta Green and I'm really liking the look. The project included custom parts fabricated by my customer as well as some after market speaker parts. Everything was stripped or prepped and cleaned with the SFX laser cleaner. Powders were Columbia Coatings, LLC Super Satin Black and Prismatic Powders Manta Green.

My good customer returned yesterday with these intricate and thin aluminum speaker grilles. Factory powder coated black he wanted to know if they could be coated Can-Am Off-Road Manta Green. For proper adhesion and durability the black coating needed to be removed and there was some concern about damage due to their delicate nature. The laser cleaner removed the old coating in minutes without damage. I'll have these coated later today. Stay tuned for details.
