Spring is here and Paul is back freeze drying candy. Heā€™s got Peeps ready. $5 for for the 5x7 bags and the smaller bags are $3. If you donā€™t like Peeps (like me šŸ‘€) you might like them freeze dried better. Think Lucky Charms marshmallows kind of. Also, look in the comments for Paulā€™s reaction to a FD Peep. Speaking of marshmallows we also have some freeze dried marshmallows that will be coming out in about an hour, and Nerd Clusters. šŸ¤¤

Candy making on hold for a few days. We are using this freeze dryer for what it was bought for, to put up veggies if we ever had an abundance of them. Iā€™d say Paulā€™s okra is abundant. This is the second round going in not to mention the jars we have pickled. We arenā€™t selling any of the veggies, just wanted to show another side of these machines. They are amazing.

Paul has some exciting news. He was invited to sell his candy in a booth at the upcoming Syrup Fest in Henderson. We are trying to think of a name just for his candy business. So far weā€™ve come up with Paulā€™s Frost Bites. Any other suggestions?

This cloudy morning has us thinking of Fall. We were going to save our Pumpkin Spice caramels for the first day of Fall but canā€™t wait. Paul just put in his fave, Caramel M&Mā€™s, Skittles, Milk Duds (those are always gone before he can sell any) and the Pumpkin Spice Werthers Caramels. Canā€™t wait to see how they turn out!

Paul has some small bags of Freeze Dried Strawberries and a couple small bags of Blueberry/Strawberry mix. Small bags are 4x6 size and are $5 ea. We also have some larger bags (5x8) of Ice Cream sandwiches ready $7.

Paulā€™s FD ice cream sandwiches turned out amazing!! We will be making some more soon. These are $5 a bag. He only has 3 bags left now. Theyā€™re so good. HEā€™s running low on the candy also so he will be making some more today. He has a few bags left of the Fruit Roll Ups and Chewy Sprees. Next we will start some fruit freeze drying. Hopefully tonight we can put those on. We will tag those that asked for the fruit. Thanks to everyone that bought from him and helped support his little business venture. Heā€™s enjoying the work. šŸ„°

Paul is working on another batch of Freeze Dried candy. Today he has Chewy Sprees, fruit roll ups, Jolly Ranchers, Cinnamon hard candys, Starburst and Bit Oā€™ Honey. Thank you to everyone who bought from him at the bake sale over a week ago and last week. He sold out of all!! All profits from what he sold went straight to E.T Shootinā€™ Stars. For those that donā€™t know what that is it is a wonderful support group and social group for our special needs kids and parents.
Weā€™ve got Paul gardening and he does have pumpkins planted!! Letā€™s hope this year we can get them to make. In the meantime between tending to his garden heā€™s working on freeze drying candy. Thank you to all who help support Paul and his business ventures. We do what we can to keep him busy and to help him make his own money. We will be posting prices of his candy when theyā€™re ready.

Paul is going into a new venture. We are going start selling Freeze Dried candy from time to time. This is a long process to get the candy freeze dried but we are going to start trying to have it available most of the time. He and I worked on several batches yesterday. Tomorrow we are going to send it with our friends from E. T. Shootinā€™ Stars and have it available at the bake sale fundraiser they are having tomorrow in front of the Boot Barn in Henderson. If anyone is interested in some home cooked pies, cakes and chicken spaghetti run up to the Boot Barn tomorrow and pick some up. If anyone is interested in trying the new candy craze of Freeze Dried Candy, we will have some up there. We did Skittles, Caramel M&Mā€™s, Fruit Roll Ups, Charleston Chews and Bit Oā€™ Honey. 4x6 bags are $5 and 5x7 bags are $7. All candy that sells tomorrow through next Friday 8/12/22, 100% of the sales will be donated to E. T. Shootin Stars. We are trying to raise money to take our group of kids to Six Flags next month. If anyone local wants some message me or comment and we can meet in Mt Enterprise this evening or next week. Thank you ā¤ļø
